At November 23 extraordinary sitting, moderated by Andranik Kocharyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security debated the issue of the election of the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee.

The NA Armenia Faction again nominated Artur Ghazinyan’s candidacy. Before turning to the issue, Gegham Manukyan proposed the attendees to observe one minute of silence in memory of Suren Safaryan fallen as a result of shooting on November 22 by the Azerbaijani side while performing military service in Gegharkunik.

The members of the Civil Contract Faction voted against Artur Ghazinyan’s candidacy for the thirteenth time.
